Daughter of the Stones – Publication Day!

It’s publication day and I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Boldwood Books for all their support and professionalism throughout the process of writing Daughter of the Stones. A huge thank you to the bloggers on my blog tour, the early reviewers and everyone who has helped to publicise today’s launch.

Last week, I chatted about Daughter of the Stones and all things writing with Gina and Tom on the Pure West Radio breakfast show, which was great fun.

If you want to know more, I’ve posted a video on TikTok talking about the inspirations behind Daughter of the Stones. I’d also like to credit pictures on this film to Karen Cann – karenjuc and Hide Obara.

Here are the blurbs from the back of the book:

Family. Betrayal. Love. A story to span the ages…

When Caitlin King’s father collapses on the eve of the summer solstice, she’s drawn back into the tangled web of her already fragile family – and strange visions begin to haunt her. Visions of another life, another time and a woman who looks uncannily like herself.

In Iron Age Britain, Cordelia is the third daughter of chief Lear Bladudsunu and a gifted shaman. But she is left grief-stricken when betrayal, ambition and patriarchal power threaten everything she holds dear.

Linked across the centuries, Caitlin and Cordelia each face devastating choices. As Cordelia fights to protect her people from destruction, Caitlin finds herself drawn deeper into the mysteries of the past.

As the veil thins between past and present, can Caitlin unravel the truth of her own heritage in time to heal old wounds and unite her fractured family?

I really hope you enjoy meeting Cordelia and Caitlin and exploring their worlds.

Much love,

Alex.
